Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium & Safari Park is thrilled to announce two exciting new additions to its world class collection of animals: a new pack of African wild dogs and the arrival of red and white giant flying squirrels, making Wildlife World the only zoo in the United States open to the public exhibiting this extraordinary species!
Known for their striking coats and highly social nature, African wild dogs are one of the most endangered carnivores on the planet, with fewer than 6,000 remaining in the wild. To accommodate these incredible animals, Wildlife World has designed a brand new, state of the art exhibit created specifically to meet their behavioral and environmental needs!
In another milestone, Wildlife World proudly welcomes red and white giant flying squirrels, a nocturnal species native to Asia. Recognizable by their soft, reddish fur and gliding membranes that allow them to soar gracefully between trees, these squirrels are a rare sight, and Wildlife World is now the only public zoo in the country where guests can see them. These charming flyers are the latest example of Wildlife World’s ongoing commitment to introducing guests to the planet’s most unique and little known animals!
